In this week's lesson, the whole goal was to search for materials that are relevant to our product.
In the class, we were introduced to different types of materials, from lego (rigid) to clay (soft). First, we had to try to understand the materials without associating it with our ideas and after we understood it we had to connect things together.
At first, we tried to simulate a kind of speedometer that will simulate a level of danger in real time. However, the materials we had were not ideal for that purpose and we had to adapt and work with what we had. In order to do so, we took a small propeller and connected it to the end of a flexible wire. This was supposed to mimic our "riskometer" behaviour. We decided that when the wire is stretched towards the user it means that it detects danger and points on it, and when it shrinks it means the risk and danger has been reduced. We found out this wasn’t enough, and the driver could not identify the feelings and message of the "riskometer".
To improve that, we tried to refine this by building a propeller, made out of two colors wires, red and green. We chose those color because red is known to be linked with danger and green is a more peaceful color.
We found out that working with two propellers like that can be very distractive for the driver, and kinda misses the point of the device, which is to prevent distractions.
After discussing and presenting what we did to our mentors, they told us that the colors slowly changing according to the situation is a good way to deliver the message, but we wanted the message to be delivered quicker and the change to be sharp and clear, instead of gradual.
In order to conclude everything we’ve learned this week, we came to the conclusion that the first and most important feature is, minimum disturbance to driver yet still affects the driver attention and raise his awareness of danger.
Our second value is having a User-friendly device with Simple features and UI, such that drivers would not need to learn new things to use the device.
The third and last value is that our device will merge in the natural car environment Important that the device dashboard will be within the driver sight range.

It is important to note that the features that will come from the application are also on top of our priority list. The app will give great value to the user, with information such as the average of dangers other time, and curve of improvement instead of just live notifications and immediate responses while driving.
It is important for us to make a profound change and impact the driver awareness over time and not just give immediate reactions.
